My wife gave me an ultimatum: You can no longer wear that coat (20+ yr, cotton, uninsulated, Baxter State Bean parka) to town! I had to admit, the color just isn’t what it used to be, though.
DogwalkingFreak –
The medium fits me perfectly. I am 5’9″ and 165lbs. The buttons are a little wobbly, but I’ve been wearing the coat for a couple weeks now and they are holding up.
Professorflick –
The coat is excellent for fall weather. Just came back from 3 and 1/2 mile walk in 40 degree weather. With an insulated sweatshirt I wore underneath it, I was too warm.
JAH62 –
Strong, sturdy, roomy, attractive practical choice for man who likes to be active outside. Bought for work around the house–wood splitting and stacking, leaf blowing, repairs outdoors and.

This is my second LL Bean Field Coat. My first one had the primaloft lining and was purchased back in the early 90’s.
TarperTom –
I bought this coat for use in any event, whether it be a quick trip to the store or a day with the grand kids in the woods. I can carry my folding knife, gloves, knit cap, spare glasses, shot.

I really want to like this coat. The outer material is strong and tough. It fits well and looks good like a barn/field coat should. The insubstantial lining is the reason I returned it.
