Product Information
Western Mountaineering's critical thought to the smallest details makes the Summerlite a long-lasting and very versatile choice. A differential cut places more fabric at the lining to ensure maximum loft inside the bag, and continuous baffles allow you to shift the bag's down toward the top or bottom for more or less warmth. Hook-and-loop tabs let you pull the hood, draft tube, and draft collar farther or closer to you for customized coverage. Extra convenient features include full-length zippers on either side, a waterproofed stuff sack, and a storage sack with a large volume that helps the bag retain its loft overtime.
At just 1 lb 3 oz., the SummerLite is the lightest bag we make in a continuous baffle construction. Our goal in designing this bag was to make it as light as possible without eliminating key features or function. The result is a fully-baffled bag that weighs only 19 ounces and features a full-length zipper with insulated draft protection! The SummerLite is a dream come true for lightweight backpacking fanatics.
The Summerlite 32 Degree Down Sleeping Bag is Western Mountaineering's lightest bag with continuous baffles, ideal for backpacking anywhere from nearby lakes to the faraway alpine. This mummy bag achieves a phenomenal light weight through its 850+ down insulation, the loftiest down available on the market. Western Mountaineering wrapped up this ultralight insulation with a water-resistant ripstop material, which Western Mountaineering claims is the lightest downproof fabric out there. The shell's water-resistance helps the insulation retain its loft, and warmth, in moisture-riddled environments.

One of the lightest! – I love this sleeping bag! So much I wish it it had holes for my feet and arm so I could walk around like a mummy in it lol. Now being more serious, it’s warm and comfortable. Packs down nicely.

Great quality but not sure about the 32F rating – I first used this bag in July in the Pecos Wilderness. Low temps were around 40F and I had to put on all my clothes to stay warm enough to sleep.

Awesome bag! A bit too snug for me. – I wanted to love this bag, it’s a great bag, but after 3 nights in the sawtooth mountains (mid July) I knew I had to look for something different. The bag itself was incredible.

Good for High-altitude Thru-hiking – I recently used this bag for a thru-hike of the Colorado Trail (490 miles, avg elevation of 10,300′ msl), and it performed flawlessly for what it is. For a one-pound mummy bag it was very packable,.

Best cocoon ever – I bought this for my best friend recently, after having a western mountaineering sleeping bag myself for the past 4 years. I’m glad to report that he has already slept in it numerous times.

Still love it, 4 years later – Bought this (here) four years ago. Used it down to about 32 degrees, and I was comfy with my baselayers, warm socks, and an ultralight down jacket.

5’11” 205lbs with a puffy jacket – Arm space is a little tight, but I still felt comfortable and had *just* enough room to shift positions throughout the night as a 5’11” 205lbs guy wearing a nano puff jacket. I was at ~.

Great so far – I have used it a couple times in 30s-40s and it has been plenty warm. Appears to be well-made and durable.

Feels like sleeping in a warm cloud! – Bought it for the Laugavegur trail in Iceland. It kept me comfortable and warm. Packs very small as expected. The only con I found is that the outer shell is fragile.

Just what I was looking for – After freezing during several backpacking trips, I wanted to invest in a warm yet light sleeping bag. I’ve tested this out on two trips and really like it.

So far, so comfortable – I’ve only had this for just under a month & have yet to use it outdoors, but it is very comfortable, seems pretty durable for its weight, love the “hood”, you could actually feel the.
