Product Information
Western Mountaineering gave the MegaLite Sleeping Bag a roomy cut for those who want an ultralight bag without the coffin-like feeling. This down bag features insanely lightweight 850-fill goose down and will lull you to sleep on your warm summer backpacking trips and multi-day bike excursions. The bag's continuous baffle system let you sweep the down to the top or bottom of the bag to suit the night's temps, and the full-length draft tube keeps the chills from sneaking in.

Other sleeping bags make fun of it’s diminutive stuffed-size. – This thing is tiny. You may think they shipped the wrong stuff sack with it, but trust me, it fits in the XXS sack. Like most sleeping bags, the temps rating is a little exaggerated.
David –
Perfect summer, late spring & early fall bag – You can’t go wrong with this bag in mild to just freezing point temps – extend it’s range 3 degrees or so with a good set of Merino wool longs, socks & a hat – OR – use it as a quilt on hot.
Kerrie –
Not the bag for me! – First of all, let me clarify. The bag is made extremely well. I don’t have a complaint about workmanship or quality. I just realized that I am not a mummy bag person.
Timothy –
Packs extremely small, keeps me warm down to the 30’s; Great WM quality. – When my Western Mountaineering Antelope is too warm, anything above 30, I turn to this wonderfully made bag. It compresses easily into it’s XS bag, light as a feather (so to speak), but does.
Kenneth –
High quality, light weight and compressible! – I was looking for a bag for summer and shoulder season use that offered a much lighter and more compact alternative to my existing Marmot bag. Since receiving this bag I have been nothing but.
Mister Dark –
Long term winner! – I bought my Caribou used off of Whiteblaze a good 6 years back. It has been my go-to sleeping bag for dozens of trips, some taking me down to the 20’s.
swswswsw –
Best sleeping bag I ever had – I bought WM MegaLite and tried it several times. I found it really comfortable sleeping.
Kscamper –
Light weight and very packable! – I bought this bag to give bikepacking a try. I tested it in the backyard at 30 degrees. It was chilly but doable. First bikepacking event was awesome! Low of 40 degrees. Very comfortable.
Jdcamo –
Western mountaineering is the best – Awesome bag. Very roomy and lightweight. Packs down small. Keeps me warm well below the rating.
Big D –
Very comfortable and roomy – Took this out camping with my son on a scouting overnighter. Compresses down nicely to fit in the pack. Very comfortable- doesn’t feel constricted like a mummy.
Tommy –
Excellent bag – Excellent workmanship and materials and well worth the high price. I wanted a lightweight, comfortable bag that will last many years so I chose the best.
Fish –
Comfort in the backcountry – This is the most comfortable mummy style sleeping bag I have ever used, and I’ve used a few. I’ve taking it down to 30 degrees, with a light base layer, and slept like a baby.
Jonas And Romulus 2018 –
Excellent Bag! – After using this bag in the Wyoming backcountry this October, I was pretty impressed with how warm it was for only having a 35 Degree rating. I slept in a T-shirt and long underwear and had.
Victor –
Perfect for spring and fall – Very warm, 30 degree rating is under-rating what it’d be comfortable at. I bet you could comfortably push it to 20 with just wearing a base layer to sleep in.

JK Grooms –
The ultimate 3 season sleeping bag – This sleeping bag is lightweight, warm and has the best zip on any bag. Moreover, the in/out nylon material is soft to the touch while being super durable.
matt –
Awesome bag! – The overall quality of this sleeping bag is top notch. I have a buddy who has the same bag who said it’s rating of 30deg is on the conservative side.
