Product Information
Very good condition. Bag shows signs consistent with light use. Light dust, lint, and hair throughout. Some of the manufacturer tags have been cut out (picture 9). Fabric has no stains, rips, tears, or holes. All zippers function as intended. Only items shown will be included.
While the down brings the warmth, the sleeping bag weighs in at a modest 2lb 15 oz (regular size) so it isn't also bringing the weight. Its MicroLite XP shell is surprisingly durable despite its lightweight appeal.

Todd –
There is no bad western mountaineering bag! – This is a super warm bag, if you aren’t familiar with their bags these are one of the few sleeping bag companies that when they say 0 degree, they mean it! It’s also has more room in the shoulder.
Rob –
Amazing bag — expensive but worth every penny. – I bought this bag a couple of years ago and have used it a handful of times winter camping here in chilly New England. This bag lofts up to an almost ridiculous height, given its compressibility.
Jerry –
worth the price – Quality throughout, flawless construction. Very warm, no cold spots. Water beads on the microfiber shell. Buy it, you won’t regret it.
Darren –
Greatest sleeping bag ever? Perhaps…. – I’ve only used this bag a handful of times so far, but it has worked amazingly so far. Seriously, the warmth on this thing is unbelievable.
Benjamin –
Super Warm – I use this while camping in northern Arkansas, and it fits the bill perfectly. This bag is great for backpacking, as it includes a small sleeping bag compression sack to stuff into.
Geir Inge –
Couldn’t be better! – The sleeping bag is very comfortable and warm. The lining is very soft to the skin. I first used in Yosemite Valley in the start of May 2013.
Stephen –
Best Bag Around! Well Worth the Money – I was looking for a good cold weather bag to use for winter backpacking, and the written and word of mouth reviews were very good. I decided to spend the extra money, and I am glad I did.
Celeste –
This bag rocks, seriously – I’m typically a very cold sleeper, and have shivered for years in so called “0 degree” bags. Even though this is a 5 degree bag, I’ve never been cold in it! I’ve woken up with frosty eyelashes.
Steve –
Excellent bag, even without a pad. ( Packed in a hurry) – This bag was the best that I’ve every used. Great with the zipper, no snags. It is ultra lite like the tent I used. It carries well.
JeffM –
Warmest 0 bag ever – I love this thing you can never go wrong with western bags but this guy will have you feeling like its summer in your bag!!.
ehembergdvm –
Great bag for early season high Sierra cold!! – I took this bag on the JMT in early June which is a transitional season. At low altitude I would leave the footbox zipped and use it like a quilt.
Paulyboy –
Quality. Light. Perfect. – Spent more time picking this back than my last car! Ended up between Feathered Friends or WM. Both quality products. Went with this as they offered a 7′ version.
outside1 –
Lightest warmth you can get, with solid function – WM bags are usually the lightest warmth you can get for the weight, and this bag is no exception. While it’s sparse on features (don’t expect an inner pocket for glasses/contacts/etc.
Randy –
I’m finally warm!! – Great bag. Warm and light. Now I can extend backpacking season to those colder nights. great loft. Ordered the regular length. I’m 6 feet so it’s just right.
Imdiel –
Beautiful Workmanship – I haven’t used it yet but the down is plentiful and the workmanship is great. Made is the USA and hand signed by the people that sewed it together!.
Parker –
Simply the best – There is a reason that Western Mountaineering bags are considered to be among the best bags money can buy. For years I kept buying cheaper bags as I didn’t want to pay the premium to get a.
