Product Information
Wasn?t it the Big and Tall Gazzette, that called our Kodiak the XL (or excel?) of sleeping bags? This 0? mummy bag has a full 66? of shoulder girth and 41? of foot girth to fit any bear sized person. 30 oz. of down fill this bag with 7? of loft and the continuous baffles keep the bag versatile as the weather changes. The draft tube and full down collar are all capped with Gore Windstopper fabric, and amply filled with down. The Gore Windstopper shell makes this bag stand firm against any weather. All this with a total weight of only 3 lbs. 2 oz.
Not only is the Western Mountaineering Kodiak Gore WindStopper Sleeping Bag big enough to fit a bear-sized camper comfortably, but it's also warm enough to keep one hibernating all night long. Constructed with just over 30-ounces of lightweight, 850-fill goose down insulation (complete with seven-inch loft), this bag assures a toasty night's sleep for backpackers looking to cut weight when adventuring in the frosty outdoors. Not to mention, the Gore Windstopper fabric, combined with the down-filled draft tube, prevents frigid, howling winds from piercing your cozy slumber. And when you rouse from a dreamy night's sleep in the morning, toss your bag into the included stuff sack, easily store it in your pack, and hit the trail towards your next site.

It doesn’t get any better than this. Seriously, its as good as a bag can get. – If you need a bag to keep you really warm, here it is. Even below its conservative 5 degree rating, I stayed toasty on a winter climb of Mt. Washington.
Kenneth –
Great Bag – WM makes the best bags I’ve used (haven’t tried FF). This bag is great for all year around. I even use it in the winter in Colorado unless I expect serious negative temps.
Martine –
Worth the investment! – I was worried that the Gore Windstopper would be a bit much; we were initially considering the MF fabric since it’s a lighter but I’m quite happy with it. We slept in a 3 season tent.
Timothy –
The Quality of the Bag is Superb! – I use this bag out west (3 season use) and it is of the highest quality and comfort. The temperature rating is spot on and it is like sleeping in a cloud.
Barbara –
Makes me look cool but keeps me toasty – I love this bag because I look like a badass adventurer, but I can tuck my warm water bottle at the bottom and stay toasty all night! My only problem is I screwed up and didn’t get a right.
Shawn –
Warm, Tough, Quality – I just purchased this bag over the winter and have spent 10 nights sleeping in it. (as of April 2015) I took it on an extended back country hunting trip where temperatures dropped as low as.
