   I won my GX2 Combo (USSP602M) on a internet contest, I took it for a tryout on the San Joaquin River and was very impressed when I hooked up with a 34″ striped bass, what a great fight, Awesome.

    I got this at a clearance price with a rebate which made it worthy for the rod only. The reel is not rated well so I’m not expecting it to hold up but it is an added bonus considering the price.

    Purchased for 5 yr. old, whom is able to cast well with the shorter rod length. Quality of reel is unproven, as only used a few times (~30 crappie). Overall, a good value.

    Rod is good but not sold on the real . I had a little trouble with the real locking up during casting at first, but has since smoothed out and hopefully it stays that way ..
