Product Information
Named for its innovative, encircling overhead support pole, the Marmot Halo 6P offers 96.7 square feet of interior space for base camping or family camping. The tent is an ideal option when elbow room and overhead height are a priority.
In addition to its cavernous interior, the tent includes integrated vestibules that offer a combined 64 square feet (32 square feet per vestibule) of sheltered exterior storage space. Large doors provide convenient access from either end of the tent. Interior pockets offer additional storage.
DAC DA17 aluminum poles lend the tent sturdy, freestanding support. A unique pole design combines two sections to form a hoop that encircles the entire top of the tent, helping to pull the walls taut and vertical, increasing the overall peak height and creating additional sturdy support for the rainfly. NOTE: Upon initial use, the poles that give the tent its "halo" name will bend slightly and even when collapsed the poles will no longer be perfectly straight. This is by design and is not indicative of a defect or any lack of structural integrity.
The main body is a combination of durable polyester taffeta and breathable No-See-Um mesh. Integrated "close canopy" panels add a measure of modularity and privacy. The polyester ripstop fly and polyester floor both have water-resistant coatings that ensure protection from the elements. The catenary cut floor also helps to keep you dry as do the taping applied to all seams of the tent. The compatible, custom-fit Halo 6P footprint, sold separately, can be used to further protect the floor of the tent from sharp objects, mud, and ground water.
Marmot Halo 6 Person Family Camping Tent has a innovative pole structure that creates a uniquely livable tent for family car camping and outdoor living.

Excellent Tent a little pricey – Bought this to go camping with my kids and wife about 5 years ago. Used it every year during summer and early fall. No issues at all.
Beastman –
Roomy – Just got the tent and used it for the first time this past weekend. Overall, i really liked it.

Best Family Tent On The Market – First off I would like to say that Marmot produces the best possible tents for any season. This tent is super big for a family of 3.

Awesome Family Tent – I bought this family tent as our twin girls (2 years old) are ready to start camping! It was awesome. Plenty of space and beautiful view without rainfly.
Laura47 –
Fantastic Tent – We absolutely love this tent! Easy to set up and extremely well made. It has lots of room and the orange color is so cozy and warm when lit by sunlight or camp lamps.

Very Roomy and well made – I bought this to replace our Coleman Montana 6. The poles seem much stronger and the tent seems to be made better overall.
Wandering Pair –
The condo of tents – This tent has exceeded our expectations for car camping use. It’s commodius interior and standing headroom makes Camping nothing but enjoyable no matter the weather.

The best tent for its design intent – I have owned this tent for two years. I regularly to camp with the family (4 of us). The tent has a ton of room, easy to set up (especially since there is only 4 poles). Kids love it.

I really like this tent. Love the size, side vents and vestibule. Exactly what I was looking for. I can’t give it a 5 yet as I have not spent any time in it yet.

Camped with this tent for 5 days with intermittent showers and high winds (25+mph) for the first 3 days. Kept us dry and nice and cool also. ✔ Yes, I recommend this product.
RobertD –
We bought this tent because we were tired of getting cheap tents that leak. Our first night out in it, we had a huge thunderstorm roll through and it rained for hours.

Halo 6p Tent Footprint – I recently purchased the Halo 6p Tent Footprint for the tent I have had for a few years; having used a generic tarpaulin previously with issues during bad weather with excessive moisture gathering.

Everything you could want in a front-country tent. We’ve taken this beast out on a number of trips now and had 4-6 people in it every time. More than enough sleeping area for 6 people.
Yukon Rob –
Tent was excellent in a rain storm. 12 hour down pour and stayed completely dry even when the puddle formed under the tent.
Joe88 –
we did buy this tent a month ago because need to up grade from our old one. the high and wide make us feel very comfortabl. also extra pockets are useful. ✔ Yes, I recommend this product.

This tent is no where near 118×118. It is at most 114×114, maybe 115×115 but thats a stretch. Description is very misleading.

After 11 days of cold, wind, and rain, I must say my new Halo 6 is the finest base camping tent I’ve ever owned. Not even close. Easy up, tight, spacious, standing room at 6′, and great vestibule.
