LED RV Awning Party Light with Mounting Channel

When you install our LED Awning Party Light on your RV, you'll light up the campground and help the party to keep going all night long! This eye-catching upgrade for your RV is a simple, yet effective, piece that can make your rig stand out, and add a much-needed safety feature to your unit.

Unlike traditional awning illumination packages, this light is meant to be installed on your RV, beneath the awning! This means you won't have to take the lighting (as you would with other competitor's lights) on and off your rig, or plug and unplug it every time you open and close your awning.

This kit has been specifically designed for RVs, concession stands, and food trucks. It is an upgrade (as well) from standard IP65 crystal resin-based "waterproof" strips. Those older models break down over time because they do not stand up to exposure to the elements, even under an awning where exposure is diminished. Our lights (the same the OEMs use for their current units) are made with the fully waterproofed IP68. The strips are encased in an extra sleeve of silicone to give additional protection from the outside.

The channel easily mounts to your RV by removing the backing and pressing the 3M tape (attached to the back of the channel) into the area directly under your awning. Once completed the light strip presses into the compression channel and once you hook the reel into an existing power source (switch or 12V source like you would use for a trouble/porch light) and you're ready to go!

This strip can be mounted in many places, the best site for mounting the LED Awning light is just under the Awning extrusion that is fastened to the sidewall of your unit (Please see pics). This will allow the LED awning light to be hidden and protected with the awning is closed and revealed when the awning is in the open position. This is the most permanent, safest and easiest place to mount the awning light. When locating the light on the sidewall side of the unit, it produces much better light and will not shine in your eyes while sitting on your porch.

Select the location where you want to mount the light. Make sure the end with the leads is close to a power source. We suggest starting the wire end of the strip near your porch or scare light so you can pull your 12V power from this source.

Clean the mounting surface with a 3M adhesive promoter if possible, if not just use rubbing alcohol. After cleaning remember to let the area dry and then wipe it down. Next, remove the 3M backer (off of the compression channel) and install all strips end to end along the awning extrusion. Install carefully as this channel will not come off once it has been applied.

Like all of the products we sell they are used by the OEM and installed on brand new units every day so they are tried and true This kit is specifically designed for recreational vehicles, do not be fooled by the other sellers that sell the IP65 Crystal Resin, Waterproof LED strip light. We have been down this path, it will not hold up to the elements. The OEMs is using this Full Waterproof IP68 w/ Mounting channel in production units. This strip is covered in Crystal Resin like the IP65 but its also encased in another Silicone sleeve, this gives you double the protection from the elements. Then this LED strip is installed in the UV treated Polycarbonate mounting track/channel.

• Next, press the LED strip light into the PC channel. Start on the wire lead end and trim the PC channel on the opposite end if needed.
• Finally, connect the Strip light wire lead to any 12V.
